So now the quest has been set...
How can we help dogs?
I’ve had my own health journey, lots of ups and downs, trying out different lifestyles to see what makes me feel better. Keto, Veggie, Paleo, Vegan, Intuitive eating, you name it, I have tried it.
One of the positives to come out of my own journey with food was a full exploration of supplementation and understanding the effect of foods and herbs on my own well being.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Grande Diplome as well as a Diploma in Culinary Management from Le Cordon Bleu. I ran a catering and street food company for 4 years in London. What the hell do I know about dogs? I know a lot about food and nutrition, for humans. I know I love dogs and want to help them and I have a unique set of skills, but is this enough?
For me, no. The thirst for knowledge is insatiable, and quite honestly, the imposter syndrome is real. I know I am not alone in feeling this. So I found some diplomas, one in Canine Nutrition, one in Canine Holistic Health and Therapy and I am currently still doing a Master Herbalist Diploma. These courses and research gave me the confidence to start putting something together. More than anything, they highlighted how much work still needs to be done around dog nutrition and building awareness around this.
I spent the best part of two years studying and researching options for what I wanted to do and what could really impact the lives of dogs and their people.
What I came up with is Guddog.
